Sept was commissioned by a patron of Erasmus Designs, who gave me 'carte blanche' with thge design. It represents a resolved design, that first started out as a rough concept in an old sketch book. It has proven to be a very popular piece, and was recently featured on the cover of Britain's Furniture and cabinetmaking magazine. It is made using torsion box techniques, over which shop-sawn veneers are placed. The drawer handles are lazer-cut into a matrix of interlocking sevens. A small sheet of acrylic separates the two sevens.
